It’s hard to believe we are already eight days into 2019 – but eight days it is! I thought it was therefore time that I finally shared with you all some of my most anticipated 2019 book releases (a.k.a all the Jay Kristoff books!)
King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo
We are getting a Nioklai Lantsov book. We are getting a Nikolai Lantsov book. Repeat. Nikolai Lantsov. This is the book Grisha fans have been asking for ever since the conclusion of the Grisha trilogy. Yes – the Nikolai Lantsov book is finally happening. I cannot wait to delve back into this world and I’ve heard down the grapevine there are also going to be reappearances from a few other characters from the Grishaverse *cough* Nina *cough*. I needed this book in my hands like yesterday!
Release date: January 29
Deviate by Jay Kristoff
Lifel1k3 by Jay Kristoff was one of my favourite reads of 2018 and I’m betting Dev1at3 is probably going to make it to my favourites for 2019.
Release date: May 28
Darkdawn by Jay Kristoff
I put off reading Nevernight for so long it’s a little silly of me to have not put it off for a little longer. I need all the answers after what happened at the end of the second Nevernight book, Godsgrave. (Apparently Jay has a thing for cliffhangers).
Release date: September
Aurora Rising by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman
I saw this book described as Six of Crows in space and, I love Six of Crows and space so naturally I am so ready to read this book. Besides after the Illuminae files I have faith that Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff will be able to pull off something just as amazing again. Also the book cover is simply gorgeous.
Release date: May 7
The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon
I fell in loved with the Bone Season when I read it, so any other work by Samantha Shannon was going to be up there on my list of books I need to read. Also it’s a big fantasy book and I LOVE big fantasy book.
