August Wrap Up

This month I read five books. So here is are a few quick thoughts on them-which may or may not prompt you to read the reviews (all of which are linked).

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

Okay. This is a script. In book form. It was totally awesome to be introduced to some new HP characters and reintroduced to some old ones. I rated it 4/5 stars-though I’d really rather see the play.

The Passion of Dolssa

Historical fiction. Lots of strong female characters. Book is not a ROMANCE like the title suggests and more about a love between women. As well as a love between a woman and God. This one was a ‘Blind Date with a Book’.

Leviathan Wakes

Sci fi. Has recently been adapted to TV. Humans now live throughout the solar system. Some noir elements-ie plenty of mystery. Told through two points of view. Rating was 4/5.

YA Sci-Fi. A completely alternate way of writing a book. The story is told through various computer files, interview transcripts, message transcripts-you get the picture. Co-authored by a couple of Aussie’s-which is pretty cool. Rated 4/5.

An Ember in the Ashes

YA fiction fantasy. Once again told through two points of view. It’s pretty dark. There are some awesome characters. And the sequel just came out. It was also easy to read.  Rated 4/5.

Okay, okay so I had a good month, because as you can see-I pretty much rated all my books 4/5. Anyway, if there is anything you would like to see me blog about in September feel free to let me know in the comments below! Also how would ya’ll feel if I did up a little inventory/linked list of all the reviews I have done?
