Review: Blue Lily, Lily Blue

Title: Blue Lily, Lily Blue

Author: Maggie Steifvater

Genre: Young Adult/Fantasy

No spoilers.

It was a long time for me between reading the Dream Thieves and Blue Lily, Lily Blue the third installment in Maggie Steifvaters Raven Cycle. However, I’ve never been one for re-reading books often-I simply don’t have the time. Luckily this had no bearing on how I understood Blue Lily, Lily Blue. I was drawn straight back into Henrietta and the world of the Raven Boys and their ley line adventures with Blue Sargent. This book ostensibly picks back up from where The Dream Thieves left off as the characters explore caves and graves. Each character develops wonderfully in this book-each discovering more about themselves. It was hard to put this book down. Steifvaters writing style is both exciting and easy to read making this book and this series very entertaining. Suffice to say Blue Lily, Lily Blue provides as many questions as it does answers. If you’re a fan of this series but have yet to read this book: read it. You will not regret it. Simply put. It’s a great book. I’ll be posting a more in-depth review of the final book in the series, The Raven King in the coming weeks so watch this space!

Rating: 3/5.
